The PC-Decoder interface is the original tool for using card emulation software from a PC

With the PC-Decoder Interface or "Season Interface" you need no smartcard and so no smartcard updates

the pc runs the software and this dummy device simply allows the PC to do what the card would do - use only where lawful

The original Idea for the device was developed by Marcus Khun at the time a student who wanted to be able to see the UK's SKY TV unable to pay for it because he lived in Germany - The Season Interface as this tool was called gave him the freedom to see the next "season" of Startrek :) (thus the name) - The tool would read the requests made by the decoder and the software on his PC would give the correct response back to the satellite receiver - from that day to this it's always been possible on many services to use the PC-Decoder interface in this way - although the tool itself is actually a dummy device it's the software (not supplied by HISAT - but freely distributed on a variety of Websites) that actually does the hard part

This is an Ideal tool for software developers - people who want to develope software for a Smart card

Added ability to update AES keys from internet.

2 different formats of host response is supported..

When key 'g' is pressed, the external file AESHOST.TXT
is parsed for host name (must be on line 1) and the request data
used to get the key for that particular host.

Two sample files, AESHOST1.TXT and AESHOST2.TXT (working at time of publication)
is included, just copy any of them to AESHOST.TXT and then start WCE..
(and yes, the blank line(s) at the bottom is required)..
you can of course change the file to use on the fly..
the file is only opened and read/parsed when you press key 'g'.

To update the key, press key 'g' and hopefully you get the current AES key.

To impliment these files just
Copy and paste all the files to your WCE folder
then run WCE as normal.

If your running a patched Humax 5400 remember
to set the "CAID Presets" Click Menu -> ToH ->
Config and select"caid preselect" -> cas1.
